1. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Day One Edition
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place two years after Human Revolution. As Adam Jensen, you’re faced with the result of the Aug Incident, where the augmented became insane and lost control of themselves, causing them to attack others.
The game sounds pretty interesting, but personally I won’t be getting it anytime soon because of other games such as Final Fantasy 15, Horizon Zero Dawn and Legion. I haven’t really touched a Deus Ex game properly since the first game, but I did dabble in Human Revolution a bit.
2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
Ah, Skyrim! The game where you’ll lose hours with ease. It’s been almost 5 years and it’s still a very popular game. It’s essentially the same game as before, with the added bonus of mods for both PS4 and Xbox One consoles, all add-ons and of course updated graphics. But the biggest thing going for it are the mods. To this date, I still play Skyrim from time to time to see if any great mods have been added (Midas Magic is fantastic!).
I’ll be picking this up for PS4, but only when it’s been brought way down in price.
3. The Witcher 3
The Witcher 3 is a must play. It has mythical creatures, cities, villages, horses, quests, magic, swordplay, a great story and more.
The Wild Hunt are after someone specific. Someone close to Geralt, who he holds dear. It’s up to you to keep them from that person.
4. Pokemon Y
Pokemon games are generally loved, no matter which one it is and Pokemon Y (also X) is no exception. It gives the game a refreshing twist by improving on the 3D graphics, new sub-types and and a temporary evolution known as Mega Evolution.
5. Persona 5 “Take Your Heart” Standard or Collectors Edition
Despite not playing any of the previous Persona games, this one does look pretty intriguing. You play as the 16-year-old protagonist who is sentenced to probation and sent to Syjuin High School. From this point forward, you meet Ryuji Sakamoto, Anne Takamaki and even a talking cat-like creature (Morgana). Together, you explore The Palace (representing distorted adult minds) and steal hidden treasure.
If that doesn’t intrigue you…I don’t know what will!
6. Final Fantasy 15: Day One Edition
7. Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls 3 is an incredible RPG. The game is set in the Kingdom of Lothric, where you need to face the Lords of Cinder and other nightmarish creatures. This game will absolutely test your patience and sanity.
8. The Last Guardian Standard or Collector’s Edition
This list just keeps getting more and more exciting. The Last Guardian is a narrative told by an old man, telling you of his adventures with a griffin-like creature, when he was a just a boy. There’s one thing for sure…it’ll be on my shelf after it’s released! What about you?
9. Horizon Zero Dawn Standard or Collector’s Edition
To put it simply, Horizon Zero Dawn is set in a world where Machines have taken over. You play as Aloy, a skilled archer who can hack these metallic creatures, loot them for materials and use all sorts of techniques to take them out. It’s an open world game with a fully functional day-night and weather system, with no loading screens. Sounds pretty damn good to me!
10. Mass Effect: Andromeda
The long awaited Mass Effect: Andromeda takes place a very long time after the previous game. You play as Ryder, set out on a mission to find suitable planet to colonize.
I’ve only really played a few hours of the first Mass Effect, and while it was good…I couldn’t get into it for some reason. Perhaps it was because I was way too late since all three were already out and I felt that I was behind. But with the next chapter coming out soon, I might just straight into it.
Yes I know, you might be wondering why most of these are PS4 versions. Well it’s because PS4 games are selling more right now.
Which games on this list are you out to get, or have already pre-ordered? Reach out to me in the comments below! : )
Thanks for this list of games. Perhaps the most popular is Pokemon Y. 🙂 Most of the role playing games I played, but I found and some news.
